This was a big step! Bob ground off the beam that protruded at the stairwell and we opened it up so that we could walk directly downstairs to get tools and supplies, plus use the washroom. The only trouble is that we are so used to walking around, that we continue to do that because we forget that the opening is there now. Hopefully we will remember not to take such luxuries for granted going forward. Those simple things like running water, electricity and indoor stairs are SO EASILY taken for granted.
