Here is Bob in May 2008 sitting in the circle of boulders dug out of one of the 8 dry well test holes in 2007 by Buck on the excavator. He set them nicely in a circle around the old apple tree that unfortunately had to be taken down (not popular with the bears and deer....). This marks where we want to position the house. Joseph came and laid out the optimum spot for drainage and facing due south (thanks Joe!). This is the beginning of the building saga at the site.
